Last weekend was warm and sunny. We had a chance to wash our deck, plant our veggie garden, and get our backyard organized (picnic table out, swing hung up, bar-b-que cleaned and hammock put together) and enjoyed some fun time outside. Even though we were busy outside, we made time to buy Maya her new swimsuit.
Trying on her new swimsuit. Even though she is not smiling....she did like it. When I asked her if she wanted to take off the swimsuit, she said "swimsuit on."

Maya running back into the kitchen from getting her hat. She knows that we don't go outside without one on! She came back yelling "hat on Maya."
Sitting in her new pool with water in it for the first time. When daddy put the balls in the pool, she said "Maya pool."
She had the best time "patting" and "stirring" the water!
When I asked Maya what she was doing, she said "hands in water." She also said, "dada in pool." You can see the way daddy got in the pool. Daddy said, "feet in water" and Maya seemed to be ok with that.
On our second day of playing in the pool, the water was so cold that Maya liked sitting on my legs. When daddy asked Maya why she was sitting on mommy's legs, she said "burr..water cold."
Maya liked to stand up in the pool and walk around (circle time to Maya). When she stood and we asked if she was ready to get out, she just smiled, sat back down and then stood up a second later. (We think this will be a funny game to her).
Maya took a water break while sitting on the hammock with me. When she sat on the hammock, she said "mommy hold Maya's hand." Those are the special kind of moments that melt my heart!
